Calhoun County Warrant Records Calhoun County Warrant Records

This policy covers what this website collects when you visit, what happens to that information, and what we deliberately do not keep. It is written for a visitor who wants a short, plain answer rather than a legal essay. Two topics get separated here on purpose: our own data practices, and the Michigan records law that governs the courts and agencies this site points to. They are not the same thing, and a request to us is not a records request to a government office.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or date of birth that you type into a search box on this site passes to the third-party provider that operates that box. The provider processes the query and returns the results. We do not keep or log what you type.

Messages and Contact Submissions

If you email us, we keep the message so we can answer it. It stays with our team, and we do not pass it to anyone outside our organization unless a legal obligation requires it.

Data We Gather Automatically

Each page view sends our servers a set of routine technical details about the visit.

  • The IP address your device is using
  • Your browser and its version
  • Your device type and operating system
  • Which pages you opened and how long each one stayed on screen
  • The referring site, when one sent you here
  • A timestamp for each page view

Cookies and Analytics

This site uses cookies, which are small files your device stores so we can see how visitors move through the pages. Analytics providers help us total that traffic into patterns. You can block cookies in your browser settings at any time, and some parts of the site may behave differently if you do.

What We Do With This Data

  • Keeping the site available and loading quickly
  • Passing your search request to the partner that runs the tool
  • Learning which pages readers find useful and which ones need work
  • Finding and fixing technical faults
  • Showing advertising that may relate to your interests

No Warrant Data on File

This site does not host, compile, maintain, or sell any database of warrants or warrant records. We publish general guidance on where Calhoun County records are held and how a reader checks them through the court clerks, the sheriff's office, and the city agencies. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing we collect about visitors is assembled into a report about any person.

Third-Party Search Partners

The search boxes on this site belong to outside companies. What you enter there is handled under that company's privacy policy rather than this one, and those companies set their own retention and sharing practices. Read the partner's policy before you submit a search.

Links to Other Websites

This site links to court pages, sheriff's office pages, county portals, state agencies, and third-party search tools. Following one of those links takes you off this site, and the destination's privacy policy then governs your visit. Read it before you share personal details.

Some advertising partners track activity across websites to target ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.

Who Might See Your Data

We do not sell personal data. Limited information may reach the parties below.

  • Search partners that handle queries you run here
  • Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
  • Advertising networks that place ads on our pages
  • Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure

How We Protect Your Data

We use standard security practices to protect what we collect. Nothing connected to the internet is guaranteed, and we cannot promise that a breach will never occur. We do what we reasonably can to keep visitor information secure.

Users Under 18

This site is built for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Your Data Rights

Depending on where you live, state law may give you additional rights over information about you. At a minimum, you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, ask us to delete it, and opt out of certain kinds of processing.

Separately, records held by a government office are governed by the Michigan Freedom of Information Act, MCL 15.231 to 15.246. That statute gives the public a right to inspect and copy existing public records, with exemptions, and it applies to the agencies this site links to rather than to this site. Court records follow Michigan court rules instead, because courts are not public bodies under FOIA.

Updates to This Policy
