This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot confirm that a warrant exists, recall or clear one, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice to anyone. For any of those, contact the court that issued the process or the sheriff's office directly.
Need Official Warrant Information?
Most warrant questions in Calhoun County fall into one of four routes, and each one ends at a different desk.
- Whether a warrant exists in a court case: contact the clerk of the court named on the notice. The 10th District Court clerk answers traffic, misdemeanor, and city ordinance questions at 269-969-6666, and the 37th Circuit Court clerk answers felony, family, and juvenile questions at 269-969-6518.
- A bench warrant for a missed court date: contact the court that set the case, because that court issued the warrant and holds the file. The county's warrant information page routes these questions to the same two clerks plus Friend of Court and Judicial Enforcement.
- Child support, custody, or parenting-time enforcement: call Friend of Court at 269-969-6500. Support enforcement files use their own forms and their own hearing history.
- Court fines, costs, and financial orders: call Judicial Enforcement and Court Collections at 269-969-6713. A general court balance is not the same thing as a warrant.
For a law-enforcement or jail record, the sheriff's records division is the right office. The records and FOIA line is 269-969-6431, and the county accepts written requests through its records portal or by email at foia@calhouncountymi.gov. An incarceration-record search requires photo identification and carries a $2 search fee, and it is a records service rather than a warrant status check.
Custody questions go to the Calhoun County Correctional Facility at 269-969-6303, which answers around the clock. The jail can describe who is in custody, and it cannot recall a warrant or set bond. Both the Circuit and District courts sit in the Mary S. Coleman Justice Center at 161 E. Michigan Avenue in Battle Creek, and the county advises calling the specific court before traveling because the clerk counters keep different hours.
